Research progress on diagnosis and treatment of gastrocolic fistula

Abstract

Abstract:

Gastrocolic fistula (GCF) is a pathologic communication between a segment of the colon and the stomach.It is also an uncommon complication of abdominal diseases.The various clinical presentations make the diagnosis difficult.Recently, with the further understanding of physiological on GCF, the therapeutic modalities have changed a lot over the years.Non-operative treatment occupies an important place.This article reviewes the clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of GCF.
