The progress of endoscopic full-thickness resection

Abstract:

With development and application of endoscopic diagnosis, treatment and related instruments, endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), are widely used clinically.ESD has certain advantages for early gastrointestinal tumors, but for large lesions or those with extensive adhesion of the base and invasion of the muscular layer and serosal layer, there is a risk of recurrence and perforation. On this basis, the proposal of full-layer endoscopic full-thick resection(EFTR) amid at the full-layer active perforation of digestive tract that attracted the attention of colleagues both home and abroad. This article reviews the progress of the studis on the treatment of endoscopic full-thick resection.
