Abstract:

Objective

To explore the clinical application effect of professional preoperative education in enteroscopic mucosal resection.

Methods

A total of 412 patients with endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) admitted to Beijing Chaoyang Hospital from October 2020 to June 2021 were selected and randomly divided into preoperative education group and control group. Among them, the control group was given routine preparation nursing, and the preoperative education group was given professional preoperative education guidance. The degree of cooperation in examination, bowel preparation, pain and satisfaction with preoperative nursing were compared between the two groups.

Results

The colonoscopy time in the preoperative education group was (10.16±1.57) min, which was significantly lower than control group (15.89±2.85) min (P<0.05). Preoperative education group had significantly higher cooperative awareness and cooperative degree score in colonoscopy than control group, and the total score was significantly higher than control group (P< 0.05). The scores of left colon, middle colon and right colon in preoperative education group were significantly higher than control group, and the total scores were significantly higher than control group (P< 0.05). On the first day after surgery, the VAS score of the preoperative education group was significantly lower than that control group (P< 0.05). The total satisfaction of the control group was 78.16%, which was significantly lower than preoperative education group (93.69%) (P<0.05).

Conclusion

For patients undergoing EMR, the application of professional preoperative education can not only improve the patient′s cooperation in the examination, improve physical signs, but also reduce the patient′s pain and speed up the operation.

Key words: VAS, BBPS score, Professional preoperative education, EMR of colonoscopy, Cooperation degree
