Nursing experience of gastric tube self drainage mode in early rebleeding of upper gastrointestinal tract

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application value and nursing experience of gastric tube self drainage in early detection of rebleeding in upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Method

A total of 71 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding who stopped bleeding after gastroscopy examination and treatment at the Digestive Endoscopy Center of Pinggu District Hospital in Beijing from January 2012 to December 2022 were collected.The patients fasted, placed a gastric tube, connected a transparent drainage bag, and hung on the bed floor. The patients drank 200ml of water orally repeatedly each time.Under the pressure and gravity siphon effect of the stomach, the gastric fluid naturally flowed out when the patients were lying down.The main task of nursing was to observe the color of the drainage fluid, Early upper gastrointestinal rebleeding detected.

Result

23 cases of early rebleeding were found in this group using gastric tube self drainage method.

Conclusion

The method of gastric tube self drainage is simple and effective, which is conducive to early detection of re bleeding.Nursing plays a major role in monitoring and observation, and the nursing observation method needs further improvement.
