Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application effect of improved colonoscopy nursing pad combined with standard colostomy management in patients with low rectal cancer undergoing colonoscopy after colostomy.

Methods

From October 2021 to October 2022, 150 patients with low rectal cancer underwent enteroscopy in the first medical center of PLA General Hospital, and were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 75 patients in each group. The control group implemented conventional nursing management mode, and the observation group implemented improved enteroscopy nursing pad combined with standard ostomy management on the basis of the control group. The psychological state, qualified rate of intestinal cleaning, incidence of adverse reactions, success rate of examination, nursing satisfaction and comfort of examination were compared between the two groups.

Results

The scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) in the two groups were all decreased, and the decrease in the experimental observation group was greater than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The qualified rate of intestinal cleaning in observation group was higher than that in control group. The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the success rate of examination was higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. The comfort of the observation group was higher than that of the control group.

Conclusion

The application effect of improved enteroscopy nursing pad combined with standard stoma management in patients with low rectal cancer undergoing enterostomy is remarkable, which can improve the psychological state of patients, promote the successful examination, increase the comfort of examination, ensure the cleanliness of intestines, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, and thus improve nursing satisfaction.
