Clinical progress on treatment of benign stenosis of esophageal anastomosis

Abstract:

After esophageal malignant tumor resection, esophageal anastomotic stenosis is a common complication with serious influence on the quality of life, and the main symptom is difficulty in swallowing with severe cases of inability to eating.It can be classified into benign esophageal anastomotic stenosis and malignant stricture, and at present the latter is mainly treated by surgical procedure.The therapy of the former can be divided into several categories: swallowing rehabilitation training, endoscopic local drug injection, microwave coagulation therapy, balloon dilatation, stent implantation, endoscopic incision treatment and combination therapy.This article reviews the current research on the treatment of benign esophageal anastomotic stricture.
