Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the curative effect and security of endoscopic radiofrequency ablation(RFA) in the treatment of gastric low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(LGIN) through a large clinical sample study.

Methods

We conducted a clinical study of 255 cases of gastric LGIN undergoing RFA with complete data in our Digestive endoscopy center between October 2014 and December 2019, pay close attention to the perioperative complications and the follow-up results, using the Wong-Baker scoring scale to evaluate the postoperative pain.

Results

Endoscopic RFA was successfully performed in all the 255 cases, and no obvious complications occurred during the operation. The cure rates after 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and 3 years were 91.3%, 90.8%, 89.4%, 88.2% and 86.5%, respectively, and abdominal pain was the main postoperative complication.

Conclusions

Endoscopic RFA is a safe, effective, simple and outpatient treatment for gastric LGIN. It has a promising clinical application prospect.
