Perioperative nursing for prevention of esophageal stenosis with external self-dilating balloon after endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection for large esophageal lesions: a case report and literature review

Abstract:

Objective

To summarize the nursing experience of using external self-dilating balloon to prevent esophageal stenosis after endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection (ESTD) for large esophageal lesions.

Methods

A patient with large-scale esophageal disease ESTD was selected and treated with self-dilated balloon in vitro.Effective perioperative nursing was carried out and nursing measures were summarized.

Results

After careful treatment and targeted nursing, the recovery effect was good, and esophageal stenosis did not occur.

Conclusion

Early comprehensive implementation of perioperative nursing intervention can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative esophageal stenosis in patients with large esophageal lesions, improve the quality of nursing and improve the anxiety of patients.
