Abstract:
Congenital gastric ectopic pylorus, also known as gastric ectopic pyloric opening, is a rare congenital gastric abnormality. The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, bloating, regurgitation, and belching, while some patients may present with upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding.Given the non-specific symptoms, misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis often occurs.Gastroscopy and upper gastrointestinal radiography are the main methods to confirm the diagnosis.Currently, conservative medication remains to be the mainstay treatment. In this article, we reported a rare case of gastric ectopic pylorus manifested with GI bleeding, and took a systemic literature review, which aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of this rare disease.
