Abstract:

Objective

To compare the adenoma detection rate (ADR) between linkage color imaging (LCI) and narrow-band light (NBI).

Methods

From November 1, 2021 to October 30, 2022, 1050 patients who were to undergo painless colonoscopy in the First Central Hospital of Baoding were enrolled. According to the random number table, the subjects were randomly divided into three groups, 350 patients in each group, and different image enhancement modes (IEE) were used during withdrawl endoscopy. The white light group was used as control group to compare ADR, adenoma detection location, size and diagnostic accuracy of each group.

Results

348 patients in the final white light group, 346 patients in the LCI group and 347 patients in the NBI group. ADR in LCI group and NBI group were higher than those in white light group, and ADR in LCI group was significantly higher than that in NBI group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The ADR of right colon in LCI group was higher than that in NBI group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in polyp size between LCI group and NBI group. The diagnostic accuracy of LCI group and NBI group was higher than that of white light group, and NBI group was significantly higher than LCI group (95.3% vs. 88.3%, P<0.05).
